The economical way to buy Free Range Pork. A 'Whole Pig' provides approximately 36-38kg of free range pork, and a 'Half Pig' provides approx 18-19kg butchered and vacuum packed ready for the freezer.The Standard cut for a whole pig order contains:
Legs – whole or half joints (bone in) - 2 large joints or 4 small ones
Shoulders - Whole or half joints - 2 large joints or 4 small ones
Chump – as chump steaksTenderloin – as fillet
Loin – as chops
Belly – flat joints
Neck End/Shoulders – whole or half joints (boned and rolled)
Head, Hand & Trim – as Cumberland sausages
Cuts can be adjusted to your request (please ask for prices of this - some cuts may cost more).
- How much space does it take up?
A whole pig takes up one whole cube style chest freezer, or half a small rectangular one.
- My freezer isn't big enough?
If you want to take advantage of the good value of bulk buying but have less room, maybe try half a pig - or start with one of our smaller meat boxes.
